I had them go from .030 to .060 over to clean up some scratches and had them hot tank it while it was there. Since there was no assembly needed I think it got bumped up.
Machine shop finished up a lil earlier than planned so I got to pick up block early this week. Didn't really want to jump in on cutting up that cowling yet, instead I shot some paint.
Ha, fun wasn't the word I first thought of. I have a plan...truck is an old heating and cooling truck and the rust is an air vent so... might just cut out the bad and bend up some sheetmetal into a nice stiff piece of ductwork and weld it in nice and tight. Not going for factory, but a truck...

Not yet, I think I’ll round over the hump about 1/4” from outlet of pump. Cast is a lil thin there but I got enough to round the edge. I didn’t really want to open hole on pump to match gasket just to neck down again after it gets in block. Thinking no flat or sharp edges for oil to be pushed into.
Got the block cleaned last weekend. Took forever but looks good. Used a couple wire brushes razors and ol toothbrushes. Made excellent use of old two stroke gas that was no good for solvent too. So far 0 $
