    What to buy?!

I Agee with all of the above. My approach would be different, and that's what makes the world go round. If it is not a tool for business it's the worst investment anyone can make. I would make a list of my needs and wants. If it had more in it it wouldn't bother me. I would find a one or two...

American cars vs japanese cars vs european cars????

The Asian manufacturers all make for the most part throw away cars. I know there a few upscale cars, but for the most part they are desposable. My sister in law always buys Toyota because they " last forever". We switched to Ford, then a Mercury and nowe a Lincoln. To our three she has had five...

    Power Loss in 1985 D150 318 2BBL

On mine the choke well was plugged solid. Also the rest of the passageways were on average far less than 50% open. It took a long time (2 to 3 hrs) to clean the damn thing out. It was as if a nee motor were in there afterwards.

    Power Loss in 1985 D150 318 2BBL

I had an 83 Ramcharger with the 318 that got really bad. To the point I kept it off the road. It turned out my intake manifold had gotten clogged up tight with Carbon. Build up. I found it easily after I was told what to look for. I pulled the choke off and it was packed to the top. I don't...

    1998 f-150 question

I have known him and the truck since it was new. There are no surprises. The tires on it are the originals. Obviously they have to replaced, but it's just a matter of agreeing on a price and he has put the onus on me to be fair. It has never broken a sweat and has been in 4 wheel drive on his...

    1998 f-150 question

A friend is trying to sell me an f-150. It's a 1998 that he bought new. It has 56k Miles, and is in literally like new shape. Straight a Cab, short flare side and never been in the snow. It's the 4.6 v8. He orderd it brand new for his wife, who is now deceased. And he doesn't want it. My...

It is not. It is a 4x2. 5.2 (318) and very plain. It's in overall good shape and has been an overall good truck. Will get pis loaded. The biggest issue it's ever had is Fuel pumps. It's had 6 since new. We treat the tank as if when it gets to half it is empty.
