    94 jeep xj with d100 5.9-727 combo

I'm running 275's right now on a 7" rim lol. Will be getting 15x10's eventually. Was thinking of doing drag radials first and seeing were that gets me. Maybe a set of used slicks for the track. But it is my dd and it rains out of nowhere here in FL.

    94 jeep xj with d100 5.9-727 combo

Lmao. My last jeep did high 15's with 31's(no burnout) and mid 14's with stock tires and a nice roast. Can't wait to see what this one can do. I had a 94 s10 that used to run 17's. 4 banger 5 speed. It would get the worst wheel hop in the burnout box and the tailgate would come un latched and...

I've welded a bunch of 8.25's and never had that happen. Plus I'm switching to a 8.8 so this rear is gonna get scrapped anyway

Hahahahaha exactly. But I really do. When it rains I don't really drive it because the air cleaner is exposed. And I did my first burnout in the jeep yesterday. Man! What a difference in power! Straight roasted 1 of the tires hahahaha (yes only 1) with very little effort. Can't wait to make some...

Agreed guys. But before I do anything else I have to raise some extra funds for a cowl hood. Found a guy that is going to sell me his 3" cowl xj hood for 200 bucks plus I provide a stock hood for him. Its a hell of a deal. They don't make jeep xj cowl hoods anymore. And when they did they were...

Well I've cleaned up the intake manifold. Its a Edelbrock sp2p318. From what I have found they are an older design directed more towards mpg's and low end torque. Talks to a machine shop. They want 350 to completely re do the heads. Might have them do a 3 angle for an extra 30 bucks. I am going...

Lifters look good. Some wear on the bottom but it's minimal. They are nice and flat. Has a c-89 on the side of the lifter. The end of the cam reads: 150052CD 69-15-98 270090 Has a 1136 in between the lobes

I'll have to look again when I get back to the shop. Just caught a Orioles, Boston spring training game lol. I'm pretty sure it had a 77 stamped on the side undr the head. Maybe a 1 or 10 in front of it. Heads looked to be stock. Stamped rockers. Gonna try and the rest apart when I get back

Ok guys. Picked up the new motor. Block casting is what looks like 4006830 and head casting numbers look to be 4027596. Taking the timing cover off to check the cam now

Bingo! Lol that's what I wanna do. And I just got the "ok" from the boss to make the buy lol. He said he doesn't have any specs on the cam though

    94 jeep xj with d100 5.9-727 combo

I'm not going to rebuild the motor. I would just be using the heads, cam/lifters, and intake manifold for my motor. Are the "cop heads" even a good upgrade? I need a new intake manifold to run the demon I have. Cheapest I've found is assault racing for 200 bucks. So if I can use this motor I...

Previous owner swapped in a double roller when he rebuilt the motor(so he says) but I can tell all the freeze plugs have been replaced so that's a good sign. Ok guys check this out. Found a guy with a 1980 360 for sale. He said it spun a rod but the block and everything else is good. It has a...

    94 jeep xj with d100 5.9-727 combo

Ok. So I have found a old mopar guy that works at a dealership I work at. He managed to diagnose and fix a few problems I had. The vacuum advance was hooked up to manifold vacuum instead of spark port vacuum. That's why it was so advanced at idle. And the a.c. was holed up to the spark port...
