You can lower your truck both ways: Dakota dropped spindles and axle flip.
. Dodge B vans lower control arms shorter coil springs , axle flip Done boths ways on D150 and D200.
Second method is the cheapest just need to source B vans lca rear springs perches and shorter coils springs.
IF you can source a new roof go for it! Look like it will be asier to swap the cab but could you find one in decent condition?
Another thing is that the roof could be patched but appears that a lot of welding has to be done! depend's on your skill and the welder involved in such work.
The 73 has 255x60x15 tyres on 16x7 wheels. The 79 utiline is lowered using Dakota dropped spindles and axle flip tyres are 255/60/15 15x7 rims for front 275/60/15 for the rear on 15/10" just love the stance.
Any 72/93 lowered truck has a perfect stance. Shortbed look fat( chubby) with big fat tyres on the rear. Look like she is sticking on the road easy to handle and carry small goods. Love her as daily driver. Got a 85 crewcab 4x4 which is lifted 5 " with 35s" like her as well and think...
Got mine from a former military m880 truck. But did the opposite went for power steering instead. All military Dodge M SERIES came without power steering boxes so you can go this way parts should be avaliable NOS.
