I like my 2004.5 H.O. dually. Only 213,000 on it currently and with the cruise set at like 72 mph it almost gets as good as mileage at 24.1 as my 6 speed manual 2012 Challenger R/T gets at 26 mpg. It still gets 17.9 pulling my loaded 28' enclosed with race car and equipment.
I still have my black 96' 2500 V10 Ram for 28 years now. Michigan winters are killing the body as it is rusting away to nothing. However, this truck owes me nothing. Still 90% original with 180,000+ on it now. I did purchase a newer white 3rd Gen CTD Dually though to give the 2ND Gen a break.
I am just down to two now. My two owner 96 Ram V10 2500 4x4 that I have owned since 98. Michigan winters are killing the body though. Also, have a 2004.5 3500 CTD dually 4x4.
I do enjoy my trucks. Drove 2 hours to pick up some parts yesterday in my Diesel Dually. Not bad, averaged 18.1 mpg at 80 mph the whole way there and back. In fact, I have had nine1 ton trucks, three Ramchargers and one Dakota truck in my days.
Trucks are just trucks. Work horses. Most don't consider them as desirable or collectible in most cases like the other muscle car forums. So, I would always expect the traffic to be lighter here.
Same here. I use the Power Service in both the white and silver bottles. My Brother in law just gave me a clear bottle of some other additive that they were just going to throw away at his work (Advanced Auto). Since it was the last one.
I have never done it. However. I have a buddy and several Diesel guys I work with say they dump a quart of ATF in their tank with every fill up. I read online also. Seems it's about 50/50. Some say do it , some say no way???
