Dads ol dodge

Logged some hours today, patch done (mostly) and it's been chemically stripped and sanded so bodywork can begin. I say almost because I'm fighting a buckle in my fender patch, had it looking good until I took the D/A to it! There's still some more patching to be done but it's in the fenders and the bed floor so it won't affect the body work.

Almost forgot... stripping it revealed that it's never been wrecked, no filler:praying:

Didn't realize that I hadn't updated this either. Engine is 100% rebuilt, bored, heads completely gone through, all new pistons, bearing, healthier camshaft and a Eddy Performer intake in place of the 2 barrel. I got sick of tripping over parts so I put new seals in the tranny, bolted them together and sat them in place with all new mounts.

Still trying to decide on a carb, I love my Quickfuel but Holley bought them out so I don't know that I'd get the same thing? I absolutely despise Eddy carbs so it's either a Quickfuel, Holley Avenger or possibly Demons new spread ore but it won't be bigger than 600cfm.

Glad to see you getting back on this truck for your Dad. I hope he's young and healthy enough to get to enjoy it when you're done. My dad is still around but turns 90 soon.

I sure hope so, he's 71 and in the Hospital as we speak recovering from a triple bypass. I had just started working on his truck again the week before he was taken to the hospital but this sure has opened my eyes and lit a serious BOMB FIRE under my butt.... nothing will stop this snowball now! Good news is he came out of surgery swinging, he's exceeding expectations and doing really well, should have him back in a few days I hope.

I literally live right across the road from him and he's still a huge part of my life, great man.

Anybody know what size tank this is? Not having any luck looking it up so I suppose I'll start filling it with water to find out how many gallons it is.

Got a picture of the whole tank? Moat I've seen were the 32 gallon variety, mounted aling the drivers side frame. Rear tank between frame rails was a 20 gallon I think.

your doing that one up nice , great job . but your thread tittle got me thinking on my dads dodge i learned to drive in . still got it sitting there just waiting for a resto or hotrod .
