He yall, me again. I'm not big with 4x4 stuff so bear with me. The 90 w-150 I just got has lift blocks in the rear. I just took them out to get back down to stock ride height. Problem is that the leaves aren't being held in a pack. I noticed that they have spring clamps. Noe I know clamps can help with axle wrap and also stiffen your ride for less sag when your towing but, what about ride height? Thanks

Next question. I decoded the VIN It says' that it has the 360/5.9l TBI LD=light duty. I also see a HD= heavy duty version. Anybody know what the difference's are?

What no bolt in the leaf pack to align it to the axle?

The HD may have been for 3/4 and 1 ton trucks. It may have different valves and emission items.

Probably, I'm always thinking (It's a blessing & a curse). Maybe stronger rotating ass. Because I've never heard of a HD sb you know more webbing, bigger bulk heads. Stuff like that. It would be cool to find out that there was.

I've bought the proper bolts both at the local parts house and at a machine shop that does driveshafts and shackle ubolts and such.

The ubolts I ordered up a set. The bolts that keep them as pak? I was just wondering what grade of bolt. I'm still not knowing where the straps go since mine are missing. I'll just get some from the help section at one of the local parts stores. I just need to know how to place them. For instance If I place them closer to the shackle will it be a softer ride or If I place them closer to the axle will it give lift and a harder ride.

The centering bolts should be just a through bolt in a provided hole in each leaf. And there's an extended tip to fit in the hole in the axle pad. The straps keep the leaves aligned.

I know It's a thru bolt just wanted to know grade5, grade8 or just any ole' bolt will do. The straps not only keep the leaves aligned but lift and stiffen, soften the ride pending on placement. Thats my conundrum. I don't know where they go. I've looked for some images but everything I get Is just a general image not the real Mcoy.

Center bolt is not just any off the shelf bolt. It must fit the centering hole on the mounting pad. The bolt head is round. The leaf straps will be toward the end of the third leaf front and back.

Yep, just went out and looked at some, I was remembering that the bolt fit in the register on the pad, but I was remembering an extended tip vs the round head. Thanks for correcting me.

Not sure these are the right ones, but AZ has them and NAPA, etc..

WOOO HOOO, finally the clouds have parted and the heavens have opened up. What has been bestowed unto me the answers I seek. Big Thanks 7. Super appreciated.

He Yall, First hope everyone has a happy turkey day. Anyone know about swapping rear drums to a disc setup? I've got 9.25 rear.

Are you thinking of using a aftermarket kit or using a Gen 3 Ram setup from a salvage yard?

That Is what I'm asking. Is there a way to use gen 3 stuff. I mean do I have to swap the rear out or can I just pull hangers, hardware, stuff like that.
