2005 hemi 5.7 ticking

Any one here figure out how to get rid of the annoying ticking sound the hemi engines .....sounds like a lifter but I guess they say it is common on these trucks.

Yes that is correct.
It's called "Hemi tick".
I talked to a guy once and he asked me if my truck had the Hemi? I told him no its got the 5.9 but would like to have the Hemi.
He told me that I should be glad that I don't have it. He went on to say it has to drive with the radio on all of the time.
From my understanding some Hemis have while some do not. The 03 Hemis are the worse ones.

While engine is running, turn ignition key to the OFF position. Ticking will stop almost instantly.

I didn’t notice the ticking until I stuck and cam and headers on it. But the pay off is Hi 13’s. I can live with the noise and if it starts bothering me I just open the cutout.

I believe it has something to do with the lifters so Beastie which type of lifters did you have before you changed cams?
