1979 Dodge Warlock

So I'm guessing this means it's a yes on the headlight covers , you guy's like them ? lol What are you thinking Mob , for your 74 ?
Yeah the 72. I'll have to measure the bezels, I'm pretty sure they are smaller on my truck!

I'm a yes on the headlight covers. 83 Ramcharger. The front of the intake is leaking horribly. I got it off and the silicone looked just fine, but it was puking oil. All the hoses are soft from oil contamination, and it's a hell of a mess. I put Moroso tall fabricated aluminum valve covers on it when I originally did the intake. I forgot I had to take the brake booster off to get the driver's side to fit. That slowed me down. It's all apart and I am going to go for reinstall tonight. I'm taking off the Moroso VC and going with a cheap chrome VC. Going to sell the Moroso's.

lol OK guy's , Lets not get ahead of ourselves . I still haven't even priced out material's , time or anything . And I don't have a clue on what to charge for something like these . I "do" have a few ideas for both of your application's though .

1. I'm always ahead of myself
2. Plastic sheet is relatively cheap
3. You don't need money, you want to do it out of the kindness of your heart
4. I'm just kidding about no. 3, but I can't put anyone's kid through college.

If I make them , I'm not going to be using some cheap plastic from a craft's store . I'm think something like ABS , Lexan or something like that .

Got me curious about your "idea".
Well for the 83 , I'm thinking "just" the headlight and not the headlight and parking light . The parking light sticks out about an 1/8 of an inch . Plus I think it'll look better with just the headlight covered . Yours is a different story and it's not perfectly square . I have to check my friends yard to see if he still has that early 70's truck there so that I can make a template . Another thing I've been thinking about is how to attach them . The old ones had a snap screw screwed into the grill . I don't want that . So as of right now , I'm thinking 3M Velcro . There going to have to be removable , because I remember with these things in place , you couldn't see crap at night .

You could use cheap stuff from the craft store, and peel 'em off like those visor protectors they have in off road racing!

When my truck is done, I don't see it being driven much at night. I've gotten leery of taking my old stuff out at night, too may deer around me. Of course the deer I've hit in my Polara were killed before sunset. Newer cars at night. Well, I guess I'm just paranoid!

Bear, I can always make and send you a template if needed. Hell, I could send you a bezel if you'd like.

Just got the volt gauge to hook up and I think I'll be done with gauges for a lil bit .

Man. I looked at the first page and with what ya got, DAMN I'm droolin'! I mean SHIT man thats NIICE!

Now my model building ways, I can replicate this baby with ease, for me it take some time, (I'd have to round up a few details from what I seen on the first page, with the lathe & Mill BUT thats OK, I'm good for it as I'm sure you already know! The M/T valve covers my friend I JUST MOLDED Those!!! -SO I can replicate your entire engine with no issues of finding parts!

From here, I'll leave it at that.... and take it to PM.... As I think for which ever way you go with it, you could "tell" me and I bet from word of mouth, I can STILL replicate it!

Thanks , As much as I'd like to have one built now . I think I'm better of waiting a lil bit before I have a model of it built . There's just to many changes planned for Lucifer as he evolves that won't be so easy on the model . Thing's like the intake . I know I'm eventually going to be going duel quad and with that I'll be moving the fuel tank to the rear . I've got three choice's running around in my head as for what fuel tank alone . I'm pretty sure , once I get to the tunnel ram I'll stay with that . But before that , I'd like to try the low duel quad on it for a while and see how well I can make that work . Also , with the tunnel ram , im' going toh ave to figure out what type of scoop to run , because that won't fit under the hood . So there's another change .There's also going to be a blue bottle going somewhere at some point in time . Eventually I'm going to have to put a cage in it because as of right now , I'm just dancing around being legal at the track . Not that I get a chance to go up there a lot , but when I do , I don't want to get thrown out like I did with my Charger that I had . I want to be able to make more then one pass . lol I'm going to be tubbing it sometime in the near future , with that I'll be changing the wood in the bed . That is , as soon as I can find a set of good used skid strips . I'm also in the middle of designing a set of old school traction bars for it as we speak . Because they don't make a bolt on bar for these trucks . So , like I said . I'm designing and making them myself and they "will" bolt on and they "will work" not just hang there just for look's like most bars do . I could go with Cal Tracks and be done with it . but anyone can do that if they have that kind of cash and I'm not anyone and I don't have that kind of cash right now . lol .... Well I think that's enough of a preview of some of the things to come . All this and still trying to stick to my original theme of a kind of period correct , hot rod truck ( survivor for now ) . lol

-Ohhhh I get ya!!! Believe me.... I get it.. I'm fighting the urge to not seek a 426 and dump into my 'Wagon.....

Personally , I'd do something with the 440 that's in it . You can build that motor so that you get more torque and power and if you pick the right parts , it could even get better fuel mileage .
