Hello guys, I'm Adam and I run the Dodge Dakota Mopar Express Registry

First let me share what I know about the Dakota's:

It was a package sold to dealers through Direct Connection to help move slow selling truck and/or draw attention in 1988 and 1989

They were mostly applied to Red and Black trucks, I've also heard of white and silver versions, and ONE blue (pc7) truck (which I own)

Options vary as they were just a random Dakota

The package includes red and argent silver stripes with the words "MOPAR EXPRESS" above the rear wheel openings, and a decal in the center of the hood with a silver/red rams head and Mopar Express in a circle around it. The main attraction to the truck is the Shelby light bar, which is a different part number and is made to be sturdier and more durable than the actual Shelby Dakota bar.

Anyways here are some pics and post some up if you own one!

A little background on my ME:
This truck was built in March of 1988 and was found on ebay in spring 2008. It was an originally a PC7 truck with the only options being the paint (only extra cost paint in 1988) 3.9L V6, and the A500 automatic. After getting it we swapped in a warmed over 360 that makes about 400HP and put in an all power LE interior.

nice shelby! Were the rear ends in those trucks SureGrip'd? I know they came with 3.90s and my truck has those from the factory too

interesting, mine's a dog leg, it's getting an 8 3/4 with 3.23 suregrip when I put the engine back in.

It's a Shelby thing. He changed the rear. Changed the shift points and pressure in the tranny. Pulled the V-6 and planted a V-8 in there minus the mechanical fan. HP was rated at 175. Radiator tilted forward with two electric pusher fans in front.

well there is no way to put a clutch fan on these things, to fit mine i had to actually use a 68-style short water pump
