I have been loving and working on Dakotas almost since they came out. I would love to amass all of my knowledge and experience and have anyone else do the same in a sticky. Moderators, you listening, what do you think?

Sticky threads are OK to a point. When they start getting filled with nonsense posts which don't contain actual good technical or reference information...they get cluttered and cumbersome to navigate.
Start a thread if you like, and we'll see how it goes. Any unnecessary commentary in the thread will probably get deleted, just to keep the topic on course as intended.

    My 2 cents worth :)

I hear you but all of the forums I host/hosted, the sticky is located at the top of the forum and locked. All submissions are reviewed by the moderator/s and then posted that way valuable info is all thats there.

Thanks for that...we operate a little different, where any post by a legitimate member can go up immediately. Moderators review posts as often as possible, but some slip through for a while.
I would be happy to keep an eye on any thread you start for that purpose.
        Cheers,
        Roger :)

I appreciate that but I would have a lot of time vested in it and as time progresses itll get pushed down and off then page. Thanks anyway.

Great idea in theory. But the determination of valued info is where it gets lost. It would be like trying to read a Hays repair manual and getting to the famous clause - beyond the means of the home mechanic, take it to a qualified repair center.
Then writing an electrical section for these computer operated contraptions for those that do not understand the function of a simple test light.
I have gone so far as to purchasing the factory 93 electrical diagnostic manual. Lots of valuable info there if one has the proper factory authorized test equipment.

Best you could do is follow the Dakota section and provide any assistance you can and see were it goes.

I dont agree. Your opinion is based on everyone or at least most not having the aptitude to perform small repairs or upgrades. Its worth my time to share all I know in one section if even one person gets something out of it. I dont know about you but I dont have the time to read every post and type a lengthy explanation and then monitor replies. Sticky sections Ive been a part of on other, way larger forums have proved to be indispensable to young guys who are coming up and ready to try some things on their own. One 200k+ member site I used to frequent had a sticky in every section. I wrote a couple of small how-too's and one kid PM'd me after reading and applying my method and told me he signed up to Lincoln Tech because it worked! He would have never even thought of my how-to, to ask the question but because the locked sticky section was at the top and chocked full of knowledge he said he spent every minute he could reading and tinkering based on the the thread.

I don't have time to read threw an entire sticky for something that may not be there. So this works or doesn't work both ways.
But if it inspires someone else good.
