Yes there is a difference. An adapter can be bought. I think from Trans Adapters but it's not cheap.
I simply could not justify it for the sake of OD gears. When more than one 518 could be prepared for the same purpose.
I wish Dodge had thought this through. But you know we are supposed to buy new.
Damn that sucks. I've been looking for a A518/46RH forever and a day and can't find one. At least one that Is close to me. I don't even care If It's working as I'm going to rebuild It. Thanks for the info 7.
That's what I ended up with. Will not know what will be left of the 518 inards until it's apart. 727 parts will fit. Everything but the od and vb. Cab already has the 4 spd hump. So there should be no clearance issues.
