8-Second Chevy vs Ford Shootout!
Lamar Walden Automotive and Keith Fulp Motorsports is doing a 409 Chevy/Ford Shootout on Friday and Saturday, with a pair of 409s prepped by Lamar Walden, going up against Keith Fulp’s ’58 Ford.
Race Entry

Qualifying all day Friday, Qualifying and Eliminations on Saturday.
Tech Card: $100 for the weekend, $65 for Saturday-only card.
Includes wife and kids, or one crew member.
1st Round Buy-back in all classes: $35
All classes have a guaranteed $1,000 purse, with no minimum car count!

NOTE 4/4/15: IF AT LEAST 16 CARS SHOW UP FOR FED/ALT class, WE WILL BREAK THEM INTO TWO CLASSES ON DAY OF RACE! As a fan, I’d like to see full 8-car fields of FEDs battling FEDs, and Altereds battling Altereds. But we need at least 8 of each.
We are writing and advertising that the FED/Altereds will be combined in one class; if we get 8 of each on race day, I will add the second class, and it will have the same purse as the original classes.

Show cars wishing to make “Fun Run” drag strip passes must pass tech.
There will be two Fun Run sessions Friday, and two on Saturday, for car show participants.

$10 per day, includes access to races, swap meet and car show.
Kids 12-and-under free
Swap Meet Vendor Spaces
Vendor Spaces: $50 for the weekend, all the space you want. Admission covers vendor and one helper.
$30 for Saturday Only. All the space you want, includes one helper.
Camping:
$15 for the weekend.
No camping fee for racers or swap meet vendors.
Friday Schedule:
Gates open at 8am
Tech opens at 9am
Qualifying begins at 10am. 3 round minimum. We want racers to be able to make lots of passes if they want.
Gates secured at 6pm.
Cruisin’ Commerce 6-10pm.
Once again, the City of Commerce is rolling out the welcome wagon for us! Cruising on the main drag, hot rod and custom parking on side streets, live music, a beer garden, and food vendors.
Open headers and other incivilities are welcome… just don’t get squirrely. The Commerce Police Department has a Zero Tolerance policy on people doing stupid things. They’ve presented drivers with “Certificates of Achievement” each of the last two years… let’s impress them and go without anybody getting a ticket this year!
Saturday Schedule:
Racer and Vendor Gates open at 7am
Spectator and Car Show Gates open at 8:30
Tech opens at 9am
Qualifying passes begin at 10am. (one or two rounds, TBD)
M&H Burn-out Contest: 12:00 Noon.
Eliminations begin 1pm, and run until the finals are finished.
Car Show Awards: 3:00pm
