Hey
I’m getting close to getting my truck on the road but I’ve got some fuel system problems.
Truck is a 1980 d150. Factory slant 6 4spd and dual gas tanks.
Truck now has a 318. As I expected the tanks were dirty as they contaminated the fuel that I put in them.
I removed the main tank to find several large cracks along the top of it. Fuel tanks and related parts for these trucks are few and far between. I’ve yet to remove the second tank. If it is undamaged I may clean it and use only that tank. Is the sender in the main tank or also in the auxiliary tank?
Also how do I go about cleaning the inside of the tank?
