Looking to purchase a 1965 D100 and install a 440 with about 600 HP. easy fit within the frame rails? Header issues?

this is a 440 in my 69 d200 . i know a guy in my town with a 64 d100 short bed like mine .

Wouldn't it be the same in Orange? That's got a 413 so the blocks are the same size, etc.

my 69 d200 is a 70 nyr 350 hp 440 with some external mods . my 64 d100 is a 383 has mods inside n out . lol 
. and yes the 413 426w 440 are all rb's and take up the same area . 361 383 400 are all b's , and are shorter in height and width then the rb's . there are others but to few to bring up , a rb 383 and a b 350 . both are hens teeth . i do have a rb 383 with long ram induction , thats set for one of my custom hotrod 37's . going to modify it into a roadster p/u . if i don't die before i get to all my projects , lol .

I forgot it was a 383. Hard to keep track with all you have floating around! I'm pretty sure I'll never use my long ram intake manifolds.

the early version of the long ram induction made all the torque down at 2800 rpm , so from idle up to torque top is a swift ride . should idle around 500 rpm and a quiet cruz'n rod . i've got plenty with mild to wild cams . ya chrysler call it a golden lion , so gold is the theme for it . should be a fun build . lots of roadster weather out here in california .

What headers fit the D100? Factory motor mounts?

i found that the 61 - 78 b or rb 4x4 and class a motorhome (not 413 industrial different mounting pattern) headers fit with a little mod to the exit on the passenger side on the 4x4 , the factory mounts or class motorhome with mods . these are factory in my 69 , and a modified motorhome in my 64 . and don't forget the pan is truck or h/m as well , the mini starter too , makes the change sweet .
