Better Gas Mileage

Can I get better gas mileage out of my van id I get rid of all the smog equipment that doesn't work?

Before anyone says any about inspections where I am at there is none.

I'm not sure cliff, but I'd guess anything that 's driven by a belt (like a smog pump) that can be eliminated would improve mileage some.

I drive both but there is more to get out of that van I have already reduced the weight some by removing the rear sofa and rear ac. Also it has that ESC. GM first attempt at computer controlled timing and carb (big flop)
