Firstly, I believe I have a NP435 in my 65 Fargo PowerWagon. Are there any numbers to read to be sure of it? Numbers I can read without pulling the tranny?
Also, the truck was originally a 383, now a 318 Poly. One day I would like to go back to big block. I believe I will need a big block bellhousing, will I not? Or is it possible that the big block bellhousing is still on the tranny, and the 318 Poly is bolted up to it? Does that work?
Let me know if I need a big block bellhousing.. Thanks!

Yep, you're gonna need a bellhousing. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the poly engines use the same bolt pattern as an LA engine.

Alright, that's not a huge problem. Is the NP435 going to hold out behind a big block? Or is it mainly for a SB?

Hey Mike here is a good read on that tranny of yours...may answer you own question by reading it...
