4x4 trans

I can get my hands on a 4x4 1987 complete frame-axles and was thinking of using the cab and bed off my 88 2x4 truck, just switching over the parts. What auto trans and transfer case would I look for (I want the manual selector on transfers case for the 4x4). Do I need Anything else?

A cab with a big enough tunnel to put it all under. Unless your 88 was set up with a manual trans to use it plan on some fabrication work. Otherwise, it should work.
