1968 f100 need help please

had to jump starter relay to get to crank. fixed for a little while then had to jump again and it kept trying to crank even without key! replaced relay and ignition switch. still have to jump relay. light on dash come on. headlight to. turn the key and nothing no click nothing. only way to get it to turn starter is to jump relay. any ideas?
 
I had a problem like that once on my 52 ford and it turned out to be in the balest resistor . the wire had broke and would only make contact sometimes . what a pain to track down. you can test it to see if that is the problem with a jumper wire one side to the other. if it starts with the wire hooked up then thats the problem. Don
 
check all your wiring from the ignition switch to the relay and to the starter sounds like there could be a short , broken wire or burnt up fusible link
