Our normal temperature for today is 42 degrees. We made it to 9 today. The next three day colder yet.
Got materials today to add 8 more feet of wall to the outside of the house. I need to bring some tools in in the morning to warm up. Batteries and power tools will do better if not frozen.

How often do you get snow?
Maybe once a year, only inches, this morning we woke up to one foot and still snowing hard, Bob will have to go up on the car port where his panel and truck are under and push the snow off.

Was -2° this morning wind is still blowing.
Started putting up some more out side wall to block the wind. Got one 4x8 sheet up before the fingers could no longer take it.
When they start to tingle it's time to quite and go warmup.
Next few days are supposed to be worse than today.

Snowing right now, today's high was about 18. Did a little work out in my shed for a couple of hours. I did have the heater going

It's only -14 outside, don't know if it got down to the -26 they expected last night. Either way it's cold, the house is making some strange noises.

Watch out for freeze dry. You might wake up feeling like Alice in wonderland:joyful:

This is getting a little crazy here, not a usual thing, 14 inches of snow now freezing rain, so glad Bob has stocked up on firewood and food,

They still want to call this global warming. We just broke a record for the longest consecutive days below freezing and the coldest day on record recorded. It is supposed to be colder tomorrow. Yippee! The utilities have also started roving power outages because the cold is taxing power grids. All have been asked to conserve energy.
We have been with out running water since yesterday when the lines froze again. Leaving the faucets drip only last so long I guess.
Good thing is they are saying this mini ice age is supposed to pass later this week. Present real temperature -2.

You're making me feel better about our power infrastructure up here! We have been fortunate that we never seem to have those issues. We use a lot of electricity during the summer months, with everyone running their A/C at full blast. I learned a long time ago, that if I was to ever build a house in another state, I would have followed Minnesota code that exceeds a lot of the requirements in other states.

I hope you get your water soon, and that you find all the heat you need. Stay safe!
