The original under-the-bed main tank was made from plastic, is broken and can't be repaired, and the plastic tank is NLA. A member on another forum told me that some people have installed Ramcharger or Mustang tanks at the rear of the frame instead. Could anybody explain how to do this, or maybe point me to a thread or video somewhere that shows how to do it? I've never done it before, so I'm a bit clueless about it. Thanks a lot.

I've installed the 36 gal Ramcharger rear tank into pickups. You have to remove a cross member and install the two Ramcharger cross members. You can also find an 80's pickup 18 gal rear tank but the procedure is the same.

easy find on Google....https://ramchargercentral.com/vehicle-help/gas-tank-options/
