It is starting

Not sure I have any relatives in the lumber industry any more. In 69 when we were on the west coast that was about all any of them did.

More drizzle today, been raining a little bit for almost a week. And I'm moving out, fun. But I have almost everything out, finish up the rest of the things in the house, and need to move two engines and the Dart to a different spot. Then in a couple of weeks I should be in my own house I'm buying, woohoo!

Then the real fun begins. They are called money pits for a reason. Hope you have room for all the project at the new place.
Its been raining here since Monday. Today was supposed to be the last of it. It has been moved to tomorrow. It all ready to muddy to mow grass.

This house is real solid, and it got a new roof nine years ago when the garage was built. All the hard work was done by the seller, he really cleaned it up. I'm getting it for cheap, the garage cost probably close to what I'm paying for the whole works, and the value of the house and property is twice what I'm paying.

Thanks Scott. I saw your thread on CBodies and knew I wasn't far behind, then a three week hiccup for me and back on track faster than before. I'm just glad I don't have the yard to mow like you do!

A couple of warm days then cool down, stay safe everyone View attachment 17454
If I could I would send you some more rainy days. Is there still a sun in the sky? Every once in a while we get a glimpse of something but it is never there long enough to tell just what. The weather people keep telling us tomorrow will be our last day of rain. Its like watching the movie Ground Hog Day. When you get up in the morning and repeat the same old thing over and over.

Is the market down that much or is he just really motivated to sell? Is it in the same area as you where? Now the burning question... how big is this garage?

He got it for $20k last year, owners were about to lose it, and they just bailed. He did all the hard work cleaning and clearing. Plans were to fix it up inside and flip it for a profit. But his daughters moved up north, and he decided to liquidate his properties. Has one that is about to sell, and he just dropped the price for me since he knew I had money on hand. It is ten miles north of me and six blocks from my storage.

24x30 with 10' walls.

Hope it has 8 foot tall doors. I could use one at least that size with 14 foot walls.
Need a 12 foot tall door.
That will be real convenient for you that close to home.
Do it come with summer time camper parking?

I am no longer associated with the camper in any way shape or form. I never was too keen on it, but tried to make the most of it. The roof is leaking, and I'm pretty sure the ex screwed up the water heater trying to get it running for her daughter, all in the dark having never done it before.

And it's not in my name! I dropped off the fifth wheel hitch today, she will get the rails whenever I take them off, and I don't have to move it to get my Dart out. I prefer camping in hotels.

Unless your parked for weeks on end hotels are cheaper anyway.

Sun was shining here today. Yes there still is a sun. Got over 4 inches of rain yesterday. Seven to eight inches for the week.

Another beautiful day with plenty of sun and the temperature is perfect! Truck made its final trip of the week, ending the exodus from Blue Earth by towing my '67 Dart out to a temporary off site storage location.

Truck is now my daily driver, until the new house is finalized, and I uncover my '68 Monaco 500, all my cars in storage are shelves at the moment. :jawdrop:

I have two that became shelves 5 years ago and still are.
It would have been nice to move just the once, but I guess I need the exercise. I do feel a lot better moving around so much, so I'm going to keep it up and get into a little bit better health, my knees will thank me.

I just came inside to shower and change after mowing my lawns. Garden bin gets collected Tuesday, and we have some torrential rain forecast starting in the next couple of hours. Humidity was around 94% yesterday....temps in the 50's F, but humid. I spent most of yesterday spraying the concrete and cobbles at my parents house in preparation for the rain. Hopefully after several days of rain, the moss will die off and the concrete start looking cleaner The stuff I use is active for a good 3 months. I'll have another session spraying in about August or September just to keep on top of it.
