It is starting

Not bad here either. Wind is blowing a little. But the sun is shining with a temp in the 40's. Not bad for February.

The wind has been blowing all day, that 2-4" we got yesterday is moving around and drifting. The road are drifting in spots and are very icy.

Down into the teens tonight, I'll take advantage of the cooler weather tomorrow, 20's, and get over to the stepsons without having to mudbog my way there. The cover from wind will make up for the colder temps.

I hope the extended forecast is close, warmer weather is around the corner!

Warner weather just contributes to spring rains. I have enough mud. Anyone want to come get some mud? At least the weather will be getting warmer and things will take less time to dry out between rains. If that's possible.

Hoping you have a drier year, that's for sure.

Driveway was almost mud free today. Parking area will take a few more days like today. Passing afternoon showers in the forecast tomorrow. Its become such a normal pattern for the last two years its not even a surprise. Now the wait see game. it would be real nice if it held off till the new gravel for the drive was delivered. They will not do it if the drive is muddy.

What kind of rock they removing? We have mainly limestone here. I like using crusher runs for base. It can be anywhere from 1-1/2 inch to dust. In some areas on slopes like your they put concrete footings in to retain roadways. Dont know if I still have a picture of one.
Not really sure. Kind of looks like grantet mostly around one inch. Works well and packs down great. Friend used a mix with crushed old concrete really packs down well.

Free firewood is always a good thing Cindy!
Yes free firewood is good, every one around here has switched from wood stoves to pellet stoves so easy to find free wood, and since we have a wood stove in the shop and house it's always nice finding or some one dropping off free wood

There is a ton of it around here right now. The power lines are getting switched around so many trees cut up just laying there. Has to be 50 cords worth. I burn coal in the house so no good for me.

It's 44 and the gravel roads are pretty decent. If the week is as dry as they are claiming it should be, they might not be the impassable tracts they were last year, people weren't driving their old cars until late June/July.

Upper 30's, lower 40's and the shelter have been awesome. I finally stopped dragging my ass and got a bunch off the parts car. I hate to say it, bit I'm going to cut this thing up, probably go to the scrap heap in the back of my truck. Too much stuff to keep for potential future use, mostly a just in case mentality on my part. It's too far gone to bring back, so it's no loss, just weird for me. Three cars are going away as soon as the snow is gone and the ground is dry. Instill can't believe all the crap I got off those cars.

Warm weather in sight for the near future, might be bringing home a car on a month or so!

Was a beautiful day yesterday, we took a drive up past Olympia to RedWind Casino, today we are driving to Lucky Eagle Casino near Rochester Wa. I think we have spring fever

No rain for 9 days now. I dont know if I can handle that it has been so long that it has either rained or snowed about every 4 days. We have been sufuring with temps in the upper 50s and low 60s. Yep getting spoiled.

It was around 40 today, but the wind was howling, glad I had my earbuds in otherwise I wouldn't have heard my phone from a foot away.

Upper 50's here and yes the wind was blowing also. Hope it is nice tomorrow as a caliper on the Ford needs to be replaced. I have the pads but will need to get the rotor smoothed up. The rotor was brand new early last summer. Should have replaced the caliper then and this would have never happened.

Was a nice sunny spring day with temps in the 60's. The Ford got us to the dinner hole and all is well in the world once more. Caliper replaced, rotor turned and pads replaced. None of this is was planned for today when we left work last night. Now to move on to planed week end events.
