Who loves the Cummins diesel's in dodge ram's

I'ma gas-a-haul kinda guy, BUT, I've driven both Hemi gas trucks, and Dodge Cummins trucks and if I had MY way, theres really only is one way to beat a Cummins in a Dodge, and thats to replace it with a similarly sized CAT..... Sorry guys, I've drove, and owned a couple BIG trucks with CAT's in 'em and they are hard to kill..... Cat Backhoe engine comes to mind here would be an AWESOME "swap", tell Powerchoke to go piss up a rope!

I've always loved Cummins engines.
When I bought my current Ram I wanted a diesel but they just weren't around 2nd hand in Australia.
So...I got something interesting in petrol.A blown 5.9 magnum.
It's been good(although very thirsty)but I still wanted a diesel....soooo.....last week I bought a new one.
A 6.7 diesel 6sp manual 2500 4x4 Laramie megacab.
It's coming from Missouri.

Out of interest - my Case1550 dozer runs a Cummins 8.3(same to look at as the 5.9 but bigger capacity). It's now got 19,000 hours on the meter and still unopened.Still starts easy and still runs great with good power.
It gets serviced every 250hrs and starts to use a little oil abt 20-30hrs before service is due.

what part of Missouri is your truck coming from?

My daughter took my 85 D100 and my son blew up my little Dakota 4X4, so I was in need of a truck. Saw the prices for a basic single cab, long bed, gas powered 4X4's at the local dealerships and said "F" a bunch of that!
I looked around a long time before I finally "stumbled" onto something I felt would be a worthwhile investment. After a few months of patiently negotiating what I felt was a fair deal on the truck, I took ownership of the vehicle.... and I couldn't be happier! Stumbling onto a clean, low miles, 1st Gen Dodge/Cummins was like hitting the lottery. They're just not seen in this neck of the woods. I can't leave the house without having at least one person make me an offer on the truck. My wife doesn't understand why so many people are so interested in an old truck, but she enjoys it just the same. Me, I'm just happy to have a truck that can, and will do whatever I ask without complaint.
