It is starting

We got some rain last night and this morning. Cleared up enough for me to start digging into the not-working-correctly wipers on the '68.

My dumb ass punched two holes in the window seal drilling two screw heads off. Ultra Black came to the rescue. :banghead:

If you can mow it. Our little pond just about dried up last summer. Grass and weed stank raw sewage this spring when it filled up until they decayed.

Question: I'm looking at 2 separate 77 ramchargers, each minus an engine (I have a couple engine options laying around to pick from), each in the $1500 range. The usual small patches of surface rust, but no major holes, and overall bodies (and pop tops) in good shape. If I were to go for one, should it be the stick or the auto?

What were the transfer case and axle differences between the two? I would go with the heavier equipped of the two.

not quite sure, but listing for one said it had a lift and swapped to 3/4 ton axles (the stickshift one). I did notice it had 6 lug wheels

Don't know of any 3/4 ton axles with 6 lug wheels.
Chance he swapped to 6 lug axle shafts?

I like the fact that it's a stick, but again the axles are an unknown plus it's all the way over in Baker City (I'd be lucky to do that trip in a single day). The other one's up in Portland, just a couple hours away. It appears to be all stock, and if it comes down to it I guess I can get along with an auto. I'll message em both pretty soon and find out the deal with both of em

Weather wise around here it's been humid as all get out. High 80's to boot. Got a little cooler today. Rain helped.

High today 89 real feel 96 humidity 65% and no rain. Been working on window on the south side of a house this week. That south facing wall of glass and no shade gets unbearable by noon. Made it to 11:30 today. Paint bakes almost as soon as it hits wood. Wood fillers harden in about the time it takes to mix them.

Morning had a few beautifull days here and a few more to come 75 highs and no humidity. Just been super busy doing distribs and the Barracuda, finally welded the new=old trunk pan in and ready to spray the back underside!
