Hey any one ever hear of flipping the spring perches? It sounds like the cheapest way the drop the rear but I cant find much about it. I plan on the LCAs off of a van but I'm really not interested in the axle flip. Sound like too much messing around for a daily driver. Thanks in advance

I just read some about the flipping the spring perch, what I found is the front perch is flipped. The problem with this though is the pinion angle may be affected. Any time you lower your suspension you should check your pinion angle.

Thanks for the pics, that helps. I read the front spring perch also but the rivet holes are not straight. I just didn't know if drilling holes was the correct way or if I was missing something. My math says if I flip the rear perches I'll get 4 inches of drop and will level out to the front measured at the body line. To measure the pinnion angle the drive shaft has to be out, correct?

I lowered my 77 by raising the perches on the frame, I cut the holes with a plasma and used grade 8 hardware to bolt the perches on. It was enough to level the truck with the tired front springs.

I used truck to pull my car trailer so I left the suspension stock, to be honest I cant remember what I did with the rear hangers. It's been 33 years.

Sweet. Thank you. By the way I just found how to flip the spring perches on another Dodge site if any one is interested.

If you lower the rear end 4" you will for sure need to check your pinion angle and will most likely will have to make an adjustment. And imo, doing the axle flip isn't much more work....

It might not be but this is my daily driver and I work 7 days a week so I'm just trying to find cheap things I can do in sections. Like I can do the shackles one day and the perches the next weekend or something. If I could tie it up for a few days I would definitely do the axle flip.

The most important thing to me is the body and floor. So I'm just getting ideas for later on down the road.
