So after 17yrs of ownership of my 99 ram 1500 in N.Y., it is evident the time to replace her is coming (rot). Still runs great! I have started looking to the south and west for a regular cab short box 4X4. The model years I am searching are 98-05. I am well versed in the models up to 2001 but I would like some info, pros and cons of the 02-05 model years ( I don't like the guppy eyes on 06up). As I research for a solid truck, I know what to expect from a high mileage 01down. How are the 02-05s holding up. Wouldn't mind upgrading to a HEMI. If I had the money, I would consider looking at 2010up. Thanks in advance for your input.
