Hello to all. I have stopped by from FBBO to see what's up over here in truck land. I have a 2002 Ford F-150 4x4. I took the rusted out bed off of it two years ago and built a wood bed. Good to go so far. I pulled a 9" rear end out of a 1978 F-150 Custom 4x4 a few weeks ago, it has 31 spline axles, large bearings and brakes, and a true 9" ring gear. I have sent it out to Indiana to Moser for narrowing. It's going under my '67 Dodge Coronet street machine. Glad to see another site up and running and I hope that I can get, or give, help here as needed!

Peace.

Hi there Ghostrider....great to have you along here at FTO. Put up some pics of your ride when you get time. :)

DO OVER..lol.
Hello again everyone. Stopping in from FBBO to talk trucks. I now have a 2003 F150 4x4 Triton V8 5.4 and a 1986 Dodge Power Ram Royal SE W150 4x4 with a 440.

Thanks fellas! I guess I didn't feel comfortable talking about the Fords...lol. Now that I have a Dodge tho'.....

This power ram I bought is in pretty fair shape body wise and the frame has the undercoating peeling off but the steel looks ok. Instead of parting it out I think I might be pulling the bed and cab and sand blasting everything this summer. Flip the bed upside down and hit the bottom. I would like it to be black and gold dust instead of black and silver. The interior is pristine and the floors are good. None of the outside trim is missing or dented. Needs a new windshield. Needs a new rear bumper.

Welcome back, are you going to start a build thread? Love following along with pic's during the build.

I am. It's going to be a while yet though. I need to finish the Coronet first. I am starting the whole skim coat of filler fun times. I will be taking care of the few bad spots though over the summer and I will put up pics as I go. I will be taking all of the trim off and fixing any surface rust/ bubbling paint. When I pull the bed and cab that will be up here too.

Same here brother... I have the 67 Charger on the rotisserie ready for the final skim coat and other paint preps.
In the mean time, I'll continue plucking away at the mechanicals on the new 90 W250. The chassis and body are 100%, no issues there, so a repaint wouldn't be all that time consuming. The 85 D100 on the other hand, does need a little extra help. It's amazingly clean for a New England truck thats been worked to death it's entire life. It has countless miles on the old slant six, but it still starts right up. Theres no compression left in it anymore, but it still starts right up... Ha,Ha!
The odometer has rolled over so many times on that truck that I just lost count.

Cool. There are a lot of gems up here in snow country, you just have to look for them. This 86 W150 does not have a single dent in the body. Not one. There is a small shallow scuff ding in the center of the bright panel in the middle of the tailgate and the chrome trim around the top of the windshield that goes over the rain gutter all around the cab has been pulled off before and whoever put it back on didn't know squat about trim because it's all lumpy. Other than that is perfect except the three rusted through pieces and bubbled paint spots. A repaint would be simple because the top section that is black is unblemished and will buff out great, the center panel all around is also good so sand and spray, the bottom bit will need some skim coat here and there after metal work and then spray it. Polish up the trim and put it back on. Done. New rear bumper. I cant believe it came through all those years without a single dent in the sheet metal or the trim. Amazing.
