New Truck does not need much Dress up but trailer does!

Oh yeah, I get it! I have 3.91s and I wish I had 3.55's. If I drive at 65 I can damn near watch fuel gauge drop. I once had a 65 Belvedere with a 383 and 4 speed and it had a 4.10 sure grip so can certainly understand. I always wanted a Gear Venders overdrive but unless I hit the lottery or rob a bank it's out of the question. By the way, I just remembered that this is a Truck Site! This pre-senility sure is fun!

What trans are you running????

In the RAM an Aisin 6 speed auto which kicks ass over my NV 5600 6 speed Manual in my 2000. Not sure the NV5600 could handle the tourque of the 6.7 HO motor.

The Formula S has a 727 that is modded for best shift and longevity with early 67/65 stuff, Big fan of TransGo! 727 trans are my specialty.

Awesome, it must pull quite well as it's a light weight. Mine is B-5 and it looks like yours is too! By the way, I just remembered that I still have a set of 4 (14"x6") Fenton Gyro aluminum slot wheels for the old A body! I kept them in case I ever got hold of another one.
Here's a quick shot of my first car which passed the 300,000 mile mark with ease. View attachment 12382

Mine is B7 and it pops in the sun with all the flake, but dark in low light. I like B5 as well when done right looks awesome! Amazing how they can look similar but so different in a paticular lighting scheme.

That surprises me, I really thought yours was B5. Now that I think about it, I think my brothers 69 Swinger 340 was B7. Also since 727's are your specialty, what do think of my Derale (flow through) trans cooler?

727 trans are easy to work on and mod for the purpose. I rebuilt the 727 for the power wagon right on the tailgate in 98 and it still bangs hard shifts and running great!

B7 is so overlooked and has a lot more metallic in it. In modern base/clear it looks really awsome. When I started stripping the car in 2012 and got a look under the trim and windshield were it had not been touched in forever I fell in love. I had no choice but to return it to that color.

Recent pic from the music city Mopar show. With any luck the Power Wagon will be there next year. There was at least 10 there for the show in 2017 and they all looked awesome. Attached are a few of them.

The torque converter description had me a little confused, Vega converters were the hot ticket for a cheap stall for a THM 350 or 400, I didn't know the aftermarket modified them for other app's

I was in J’ville Fl. At the time and hooked up with a guy that worked for B&M and he built me a custom unit for the 727 from a Chevy Vega converter It broke after about 30 passes. I thought I lost a rod at the time cause it was banging really bad by the pan at low RPM. Managed to drive home and realized it was really a converter issue cause it was only banging at low RPM. He rebuilt it at no charge and it still lives today. It is tiny looking, will post a pic from my PC later as the photo is not on my IPad.

Here is bad pic but the only one I seem to have. You can slip most of your fingers between the ring gear and the body of the converter.
