Hay yall, It's been sometime. I have a buddy that pulled a 3.9 out of a 02 dak. and put a 5.9l from a 2000 rt. The problem is wiring harness issue's the kid he did it for cut the rt harness up. Know at least the way I see it, is he would have to splice everything back in to make it work. He has the ECU from the rt will he need anything more. Taking any and all feedback and suggestions. Thanks
 
I would try to find a V8 harness for the 2000 Dakota and start there. The 5.2 and 5.9 should have the same sensors and connectors.
 
the problem from the quick look i made I saw different plug lay outs so, i was thinking maybe different pin arraignments.
 
I would use the 2000 5.9 computer, find a 2000 V8 harness and modify to fit the 02 Dakota
 
That would work however, my buddy really doesn't want to do any of that. I actually really don't know what they want to do
