I'm a retired software guy and long time Hot Rodder. To learn more about me visit my website: www.bigpoppa54.com and check out the project section.

I'm currently building a 1963 Dodge D200 Sweptline Long bed. It will have a Mopar Magnum 360 with 380 HP, an A500 automatic transmission posi-traction rear end with 3:73 gears.
Dodge Sweptline Custom IFS Suspension – Heavy Duty Rear 4 Link Combination Kit. My question is; are there other tranny alternatives to connect with the Mopar Magnum 360. My preference would be a 5 or 6 speed automatic transmission. This will be a daily driver and occasionally used to tow my classic cars to car show 150-300 miles away

Hello from Minnesota. I think you're limited with anything more than a 4 speed auto if you want to keep it Mopar. I believe there is an adapter to mate a GM 6 speed auto, don't recall the designation. Mopar Action did it with one of their project cars. Might have to modify the trans tunnel to get it to fit, they did in the car and also had to fan a new trans crossmember. Feel free to post some pics s of the project, we love pics.
