I need to replace the weatherstripping of doors and the window felt and window seals. There are a lot of companies making these products but my past experience has shown me that not all products are as described. Anybody have any recommendations?

The truck needing replacements is a 1983 d350 crew cab.

I have read good reviews about Steele products, but they are about 3x as expensive.

That eBay add has a pretty crappy review of the precision product line.

Ok thanks. Anybody had experience with LMC or buying a giant role of the weather strip and cutting it to size yourself?

I get my seals by the foot from rock auto in the universal area you just need to know the dimensions of them, really think it is by soft seal also. Saved big$$$

Do the seals come shaped be fit the body lip or are they the old glue or sticky back weather strip tap.

Called dodge today about seeing what crazy price the dealer sold them at. He told me their database only goes back to 1983. Said that there is no where in the country that has any in stock. I asked for the part number and he was unsure as it only went back to 1984.

Sounds to me like the options are:
1) NOS seals on specialty websites at sky high prices $110/ side ( that's $220 for the front alone)
2) LMC/ Precision/ Fairchild brand seals typically $37/ pair and see how the fit is
3) more expensive mid range product like Steele industries $75/pair but sounds to be more exact fit
4)Keep the old dry rotted seals and turn the radio up and say the hell with it.

I have option 4 now. Do not plan on staying warm or dry. No ac working yet so staying cool maybe a problem also.

The doors should be the same from 72 to 92 or 93. Surprised the parts person did not know that but then again not. Age is a issue unless they just like working on old trucks.

Yes I told him the trucks had the same front doors through 1993 but apparently if they don't see it in their data base search they can't figure it out.

I've used door window seals from LMC for my 1975 truck. They are very good fit and appearance. How close they are to the original in material and appearance, I don't know. The original seals were all but gone.

I work at a PPG store, and we've had good feedback from the 3M stuff. Obviously its a roll and must be cut and such by the customer, but that is always an option. Pretty sure it runs around $30/roll

Is it a u shape chanel that fits over the body lip or just stick on weather stripping. Can you post a cross section picture?

Try a place I used for my 69 Dodge P/U. It's called Fairchild industries. I got very nice beltline weatherstrip from them, and they do make seals for your truck. It was very good quality and I think the price was very reasonable for the product. There on the web.
