The '88 2WD is gone. I traded it to a friend a while back. But I just acquired a new "Little Dodge". It's a '91 short box 4X4. It has a couple issues, but nothing I shouldn't be able to handle up!

LOL, it's actually my grandson! We have been threatening mom with a surprise visit to the hair factory if she doesn't get on it right away! It's an ongoing battle with her first child's first haircut. But aside from that, he is the reason I bought it. After I sold the 88 he kept pointing to where it was. It bugged me how much he related to it and it not being there. So I bought him another to play in!

That's cool you got him another truck!

Did a few little touch ups over the last couple days. :) It's solid as a rock now. I am also converting the interior from tan to grey. Now that I have the body in good shape, I have to figure why it wont start after it's warm. Sometimes it has to cool before it will fire again? This should be a challenge!

Nice work good idea to have some sound deadenning matt make a real difference in comfort with less noise.

Thank you. I am hoping for sound and heat reduction. Once the new carpet arrives, I'll know the effect it has.

I *think* it would have helped a lot on my 83, I did about the same thing -- then I went and put headers and such on there so the net change was more cabin noise, and that was with the heaviest tube units I could find.

Well the Little Dodge #2 got a new home. Somebody wanted it more than me and paid me a fair price. So off it went......

Which left me truckless, sorta. I didn't agree to let it go until I had secured another to fill the void. This one is original paint and has zero rust! I am the third owner. It comes home today. I went to get it last night but the wheels are too wide and it wont fit on my trailer! I'll put smaller tires up front to get it home.

Hi gdrill! …. must be Dodge territory up there. Can't find older ones surprisingly in SW Florida (except mine) LOL. Wanted a short bed myself but after installing a rear roll pan taking the chrome step bumper off and having a roll pan fabricated for the front I have about the same overall length as a shorty with bumpers. Newer Dodges in abundance here though.

We had an 85 shorty 4x4 two years ago and could hardly give it away. It must be a location thing.

Would have jumped all over it except no 4X4 …. yes, must be somewhat a regional thing.

Nice! … this one is my 4th of this style all big blocks but this one. Had an 86' off white short bed stepside like yours with a 440 and all original. Guess I shouldn't have let that one get away but coming down here and boat weather all year the boat won out.
