I went to visit a friend who was in town and got to check out his dad's latest toys. First up, a 2013 60th anniversary Corvette. 427 cubic inch engine 6 speed transmission, convertible, and some carbon fiber parts. Pretty cool car he picked up last August. He would have gotten the lastest generation model, but the new ones don't fit him, he's a smaller guy, so he got his one. 1 of 700 made. I sat in it, and that felt nice with the wheel a comfortable distance and the shift knob right there in your hand.

Moving on to something I will never be able to physically touch another one to in my lifetime, a 2015 Ferrari California T. I had heard he got a Ferrari but didn't know the model, then I recognized the front end when I walked into the garage. It looks fast sitting still. 550hp and it sounds badass when he revved it up. I couldn't get my video working quick enough to capture it though. Apparently they don't let you test drive the cars when they are for sale, so he bought it so he could drive it. Sat in the previous owners garage for 2 years with only 1800 miles when he sold it. My friends dad put another 700 since getting it in February. It gets attention when he brings it out. I was lucky enough to sit in it, it was raining so I didn't get to ride in it. Maybe next time. When he got it, he let his family members take it out for some drives. His mechanic brother in law gave it his seal of approval.

Oh my, and then you had to wake up, huh?
It was a little surreal. Couldn't of had a nicer person showing the car, very humble and not a microgram of arrogance. He's 73 and wants to enjoy his retirement. He's worked hard and earned everything he's ever had.

man if you want to sit in a few ferraris and other italian made machines . then trip on over my shop we'll trip down the street and drop by my friends shop , he has a couple dozen sitting around his shop waiting for repairs n parts . even put in two tiered lifts for storage for his customers , for when they need the car repaired and stored until they return from abroad .

I'm feeling really sorry for your friend! Those cars cost a small fortune to maintain.

he's maybe getting rich by is tried to these cars and their owners . ya one day i stopped in , he was changing a headlight assembly and the horn . the repair was 5k . yes 5k . but the customer was not happy with the color miss match from the factory . so he was to send it out and have the car taken apart and repainted then re-assembled , at 30k to 50k . the horse is prancing because its crazy , lol . of course its only money !
