56 Dodge truck build

More progress. New bed floor cross members are in. So floor is finished except for outside edges. They need to be cut in to fit around the wheel tubs. My nephew is going to do that for me.
Working on trans linkage before I continue to take the truck apart.

Looking good, those strips look really nice between the wood. I can't wait to build my truck!

Look'in good HemiTruck ! And a nice job on those tubs as well ! Hoping I have time to do that on my truck before Spring come's and I just hope they come out as clean as yours did . lol

Well here we go. I got the trans shift linkage built. Got the front group off, cab off. Pulled the engine . Need the crank and rods out of mock up motor to complete build of 341 hemi. Next steps send trans out for rebuild. Strip frame and send to powder coat. Rebuild 9".

Keep at it , your getting there . Before long you'll be turning that key for the first time . ;)

Wow, just went through the whole thread. I wish I had the skill to do something like this. I will just have to stick to what's already out there like stated earlier here. Can't wait to see more.

I thought I would warn others about buying windshields or other glass and having it shipped. I had this delivered to my business and my employee received it for me. When I ordered the windshield over the phone they did not warn me to make sure glass is in good condition before accepting it. The box did have a sticker on it warning to inspect glass before accepting it. So our bad for not looking first. I had been very busy so it was two weeks before I cut the small hole in the box to look at the glass. It was broken. Called Bob's Classic Auto Glass to complain and found out insurance claims ended when my employee signed for the delivery. Buyers beware!

That blows! You'd think they would package the glass a little better to absorb some level of shock.

Well that SUCKS, I have received things at work like that before. One of my customers had a trans from Jeg's sent to the shop and it said the same thing. We opened it and it looked ok.

You should watch postal or ups load items. You would then know why checking for damage is a must.

Have you ever tought about parts shipped to Europe? In my case i will always check the package ON DELIVERY for damaged parts before any paper get signed. And most of the time get the parts insured...

I like the paint job on your avitar. Mine is somewhat similar but with different color placements. But it is refreshing to see one not all painted and pretty once in awhile.

Thanks for your comments. I talked to a local glass shop. I tried local before online and they couldn't source the windshield. The second local glass shop thinks he can get it so I'm going local now. More money, less risk.
I got my frame, valve covers, and other parts from the powder coat shop today.
Some assembly required.

I thought I'd update the glass situation. My local shop couldn't get my windshield. So I called Bob's Auto Glass again.Bob did help me by sending a second windshield at cost. It arrived with damage to the box again but the windshield was intact. So glass problem solved.
It's summer, so busy farming. No time for my project. Maybe October before I get back to it.

well do i know about short engine bays on the power series trucks . put a rb in my 60 and a bit different front suspension . still in process , lol .
