Let me know if they work. And Ive been looking at some 5.0s and may get one thats not an HO and do my own upgrades. It dont have to be real fast I just want it to sound great and run good.

Have been extremely busy but finally got to order some parts for my 50 ford. Ive got a mustangII rack and pinion kit ordered and on its way. Gonna have power steering disk brakes and coil spring. Also just got in my 32" chrome tilt steering collumn. Gonna be comfortable driver soon I hope. Will put some pics up soon.

That's going to be a nice ride with power steering, disc brakes and coil springs.

If Creed don't mind I took some pictures of some of the new parts he has in my eagles nest where I keep Victoria
Up on the top shelf is all new brake calipers, spindles, very cool rotors and a all new interior and rack system and steering column
Creed has been a busy musician, engine builder, house builder and know a father.
He scores a dandy hood with all the chrome trim and nice and straight
He is enjoying it as a daily driver and things are going good

Why spend all the time and money to put a Mustang front suspension under it? These trucks ride and drive fine with the original suspension, and you aren't going to be road racing it,so why worry about how it handles in the corners at speed?

What's wrong with a old truck that drives like a old truck?

    BTW,you can't rebuilt a GM 350 any cheaper than you can rebuilt a 302 or 351W.
Always looking for flathead Mopar speed equipment, and sheet metal or chassis parts for a 33 Plymouth coupe or 42 Dodge business coupe

To the first I aggree with you not, because my 1956 F100 had a MustangII-front suspension with disc breakes when I bought it. The first : the breakes gives you a better feeling also at high speed and the suspension is more comfortably then the old ones. The car isnīt not "swimming" on the road.
My F100 got also a additional after market pwr steering from Speedway motors, so now I can turn the steering wheel with one finger... and thatīs comfortably !
I donīt wanna miss it !

To the second: I confirm with you !!! Itīs a shame, to convert a Ford to a Chevy by build in a Chevy engine !
My Ford has a 351 with a HEI Distributor and drves like a modern car with it.
Also it has a 9" rear axle with the strenght also for more power.
I parted the Pickup in all his parts till the last screw, overhault it or give new parts to it while building it together to the actually performance.
Heres are some pics and a short video from the first drive after 14 month.

    Thumbs up

that 56 is really nice for sure. its a model we don't see up here very often for whatever reason i don't know. really like the colour.

!! Itīs a shame, to convert a Ford to a Chevy by build in a Chevy engine !

i agree wholeheartedly with that statement. you go to a show or cruise and a really nice car or truck pulls in and when they lift the hood, it is cross bred. why bother spending large $$ on the body and cosmetic's just to screw it up cross breeding the power train. makes no sense to me. but, opinion's are like a-holes. everybody has one. lol

"He has a 460 ready and sitting on my engine stand"

that will be different and neat at the same time. i can understand why you want it moved forward a bit. good luck guy's keep us updated pls.
i have a 67 f camper special in nice-nice shape with the original 6 cyl that runs good. i have a 390 with trans i was going to drop in but a buddy of mine talked me out of doing it. it is for sale and his logic was leave the orig in it as is and offer the 390 to go with it. lots of people will want it pure stock. their choice. it made sense to me.
