I've only found them on 4x4's personally . Never seen one on a two wheel drive and I've owned and worked on quite a few older Dodge trucks .

Some of us probably wish we had known about these "back then" and here's why "an old story." I swear this is true, "I was there."

In the early 70's in my small town, I was newly discharged from the Navy, and fell in with a local crowd, who started up a small 4x4 club. We had lots of fun. There was a mix of Jeeps, Landcruisers, Broncos and even a "Shout."

Broncos were a problem for power steering. They were fairly new, then, and there were limited options........a new factory box, nearly 500 bucks, a couple years of T-birds, and some old 62 or so Buick. So, hard. You could not use the popular GM boxes as we used in Landcruisers and Jeeps because they rotated wrong direction

SO. A local guy had a little one-man muffler shop, and he is a MASTER of fabrication. A friend and I got off work, noticed activity up the street, and ended up at the shop. Here on the hoist, was the owner's Bronco, with a NICELY NEATLY done swap using a Mopar power box.

I looked in there, thought, scratched my head, frowned, and looked at Dean. "I thought those rotated the wrong way?"

He got a funny look on his face, reached in the window, and SURE ENOUGH!!!!!
