'67-PW. GW. Here. I'm simplifying my life. In California, at least Southern Cali. it's been about the "Jones'es", Which neighbor, co-workers and family to "up do". I was cought up in that SH*T... I love my Betty (the truck). You Sir! Get that "Beast" shiny like Italian crystal, you deserve it! BTW, my Betty is in the shop getting a little work done. Don't we all like "Sleepers?" Ugly, but I'll blow you of the line all the way to 120mph kinda thing?
Cheers, bratha!
"GW" , What's Betty running under her skirt that make's you make a statement like that ?

Hi Bear, "The wise one." Nothing special, LA 5.9 360cid. 2brl. Holley 3200 and a A727 on the column. My meaning to "Simplifying my life"... I'm just tired of the grind brother, shit moves at hyperspeed out here, one day you're the "flavor of the week" and then you're forgotten, it is a ruthless game out here, in any kind of business, jobs. ect... In buying Betty on a freaking whim, I'm starting to understand the term "ezy does it!" Bear, I barely remember my kids growing up... Pretty F@cked up. Betty is my reflection of whom I wanted to be. A rancher, a farmer, a dude.

Hi Bear, "The wise one."
"The wise one" ? If that's directed towards me then I'm not to sure about that one . lol I'm just a simple gear head . Although my wife and a lot of other people say I'm a little more then that . lol I just have a knack for building things that work the way I want them too .

That sounds like a real good foundation to start with . There's a lot you can do with a 360 . I hear yah on the "simplifying your life" part . I myself have always tried to just be me , either you like me or not but this is me . But I've known plenty of people that are way to busy ( like you said ) keeping up with the jones's and trying to one up them all the time . I even see it at car shows all the time . It's a competition of who's got the newest or shiniest things on or in there car . Me , I like function , speed and making it mine , over glamor or what's the latest thing . It sounds like Betty might just be the ticket for what you want to do . To hell with the Jones's and just make it yours . With Betty you can just kick back and start enjoying life and on the plus side , every once in a while you and Betty can rub it in there faces coming off of a stop light . lol Keep going in the direction your going , personally I think your going to be a lot happier in life .

Sensei Bear (and calling out to all '72 D100 + Dodge Truck Drivers.) I need help baddly! If you have any knowledge of any manufacturer or company that sells complete lowering 'front suspension' now is the time to share! I contacted Randy Bouchillon at Bouchillon Performance about their complete front end (Suspension) kit, and rear flips, here is a copy;
The lower control arm assemblies are complete and are our #37493 @ $735.99 a set....the differential needs to be flipped or put on top of the leaf springs with our Differential Mounting perches and welded into place once drive angle is set # P4120074 @ $21.50.... you just have to work out your shock lengths
Well, I called yesterday morning to order both parts, I got an call back 10min. later telling me that the front kit won't be available for at least 2 weeks, because is not made in house any more, only special orders. That was not made clear to me in previous conversation with Bouchillon.
My truck is at my friends shop getting work done here and there, he'll have it 'till next Tuesday, need to find a lowering front suspension complete kit. Any help would be much appreciated. I have no time to go to a dismantler and do a "Frankenstein Job" at the moment. Also saw some pics. on this site which I assume are post 72's D100's, they look just like mine. Please inform me, SOME BODY MUST KNOW!

Much appreciation.
GW
Ps. Amen brother! to your reply. Been there done that. Betty brings the best out of me and makes me giddie like a teenager with his first truck... It fells really good, man.

Try contacting "DodgeAddict" . He's one of the members here and as far as I'm concerned he's "The Man" when it comes to dropping these trucks down low . As far as BPE ? I no longer deal with them if I can help it . They don't back up there parts or there word .

No kiddin? Shoot, went to check on Betty this morning and got a while load of 'great news'. Betty is out on rehab for a month. Minor motor stuff "tune up" etc... trans need's major work, electrical gremlins but the worst is my whole front and rear suspension.
Okay, I'll give Dodgeaddict a jingle.
If you don't mind, what happened w/BPE?

I don't like to talk bad about people but long story short . The last time I dealt with them , I tried to return some defective parts that Randy himself told me to return and he would replace them and after I sent them back they refused to and when I spoke to Randy over the phone about it , he tried to start an argument with me over it . "Not" very professional or business like . You don't yell or talk down to customers . That's just one instance and I've been told by other people that they've had issues with them as well and they say that there all pleasant and helpful at first but once they have your money , it's a whole other story . I'll hunt down my own parts and recondition them if I have to before I give them any more of my money , thank you . Here's a good one . Ask them about the big block headers they sell . They'll tell you that they have a strict contract with Hooker for them , making it sound like hooker just makes them for them to sell . Try looking up there part number on Summit and see what comes up . I'll save you the time . It's hooker truck headers . As far as I'm concerned , there full of it .

Thank you "Big" Bear. When I replied to you I was on a bus on my long way back home. Before I found out that my "girl" was going in for rehab, I loaned my gas saver to my brother-inlaw, so, can't be a 'Dick' and take the car back, feel me? anywho been home for about 15min.
Regarding BPE, I won't buy their Sh@ and my budy's shop is a local AAMCO, been here in Capo for 40 some years. I know all the young 'Grease Monkey's' that work's there and the are stoked to work on "Old Betty", It's a hughe setback about Bouchillon, but I'm glad that I won't have to deal with any headaches. Thank you.
The problem here for me is that at the moment, I don't want to bag the truck just yet, $1,500.00 labor not included. There is almost nothing (suspension wise) for first year model (72) of D100: IFS w/Frt. Disc. My buddy Steve won't do "Frankeinstein" do to legalities, I understand.
Thank you for your time. I'll see what Dodgeaddict has to say eventhough I tried to get in touch with him a few day's ago.

No problem "GW" . I know what it's like when your ride is down . As far as BPE is concerned , well you live and you learn . I would try and help you with your drop but I haven't done a lot of them personally and I don't want to give you bad information . That's why I had said to talk to Bob (DodgeAddict) . About the only thing I know is that you can use 3/4 ton lower control arms ( deeper spring pockets ) or Dodge van or Dakota spindles for the front . There's also guy over in the next town that's running coil overs in the front of his truck and he's able to adjust his front ride height . As for the rear , maybe a simple axle flip will do the trick . Sorry I can't be more help .

Thank you brother!

Sorry that's all I know . He's in the next town over from me . I even considered doing that myself eventually . His is a 79 but it's basically the same front end as yours . He's a member here but I haven't seen him post anything for a while . I think his user name is "boostedlilred" if you want to try and do a search for him . I can't remember if he had a build thread or not .

Thank you Bear and LCMob!
I have to say something. In my ignorance of ChryCo vehicles, and all the different Dodge truck forums I've visited or am a member to, FTO is the "Shitsnitz!". You people are AWESOME! ready to help anyone at anytime. Thank you so very much!

Amen! brother... With that, I want to apologize to, I think his 'Call name is', "BikiniCowboy" Rather or somethin? I was a 'Smartass' and said. "Thank you, Yoda Master of Wikipidia." I am truly sorry Mr. Bikini. And thanx to all my brothers and sister from anutha muthu!
Cheers.

Ps. Have a great Monday and the rest of day's that follow.

I myself like to surprise people with what lies underneath. I still can't get over people's reaction to seeing a 440 in my car, even though it was originally a big block car. Speed parts first, paint...maybe. If only I could trip over an RB 6 Pac setup at a giveaway price. It would look good on this intake:

Crazy intake LCMob! Btw, why you up so late? Ain't it close to 2AM your time?
