Must be in my blood going back to my great grandfather but I only got hot and heavy into it lately. Here are a few projects that I did within the last year and hoping to improve my technique as time goes on. Made plenty of mistakes but as the saying goes: Failure plus analysis equals success. I need ideas for this years Christmas gifts so post up your woodworking projects!!

......Tried to upload pics but didn't get the option to upload so here is the link with pics from FBBO. Just scroll down to find me (meep-meep)

That's some impressive work! I sucked in shop when it came to wood, I was too busy chasing girls.

Nice boxes. I have always wanted to get into that finer detail type of woodworking but just haven't taken the time to do it. I do custom cabinetry also get into some furniture type stuff.

That's really nice work Meep ... I just drug the pics from your other coment on FBBO here to this comment box

Saw the pics on FBBO. Man, that's some nice work. Took advanced wood shop in school (whatever that was lol) and actually built a few pieces of furniture but never did anything intricate like that. My last piece was a 4x6 foot book case built from construction materials...mainly 2x12's and then trimmed from cut down 1x4's and routed. The back is the only thing that got nails along with the glue. Found out how crappy a Craftsman radial arm saw was when I made the dado joints lol. After that project, I sold most of my wood working tools. Man, doing that kind of work in the same shop where the cars are sucks! I'm more into metal working these days and replaced the wood stuff with a engine lathe and milling machine and various other metal working wonders....

Radial arm saws remember when those were all the rage back in the 80's! LOL I mean I was only a kid than but I still remember. Was supposed to be a table saw and miter saw all in one. Besides the fact they were mediocre at both tasks and was pretty easy to hurt yourself with one if you weren't careful.

Wow incredible work and detail. Very nice.

Lot of my family is/were carpenters but I never got in to it. I do flintknapping. Aka make arrow heads from stone. I do a little wood work when I put handles on the blades and make stands for them. But nothing like that.

Wow! That is some great work. I wish I had the time and patience to do that sort of work. There are are a few things I need made out of wood, but I dont have the correct tools to do it.

WOW, that's some nice work Meep! I like to dabble as well but not on that fine little art stuff haha..... to tedious for me. Here's a few of mine and I'm in the middle of building my wife a Hickory Hutch, you can be a bit more crude on these

Nice kitchen for a guy who only dabbles! LOL Seriously though I do kitchens for a living, that's some nice work!

Holy smokes! Nice work 747. The design and colors in that kitchen are fantastic.

I used to help an old buddy do kitchen remodels and it was a real treat to see the final product. We also did a bathroom vanity for a lady that was like a piano finish. Absolutely gorgeous.

Christ sakes my wife see this, I'd be up shit creek without a paddle against current! LOL I'm even jealous of that kitchen! NICE freakin work man!

Thanks guys but like I said... a bit more crude! The stuff Meep is doing with inlays isn't very forgiving where a simple lifted strand of wood from can really muck it up. Some fine looking work!
