I have an 87 D150 with a bench and factory 4 on the floor. I'm a big one for buckets and a 4spd, benches just don't look right to me. My question is are there bolt holes for a bucket installation and what works. I can't go and check this as I'm currently floating down the river in my house. I'm in South Carolina and have two everything especially all the mopars (I wish). Just call me Noah. It's been raining here since tuesday and it sucks.

Ram Charger seats would be the only factory ap. I have buckets in my 82 from a Chrysler Intrepid 89 vintage on home made frame work will try posting a pic.

You can use the pedestal's from a Ramcharger or van and mount the bucket seats onto those or if you can find the factory frame work from an earlier Dodge truck ( Like my Warlock or a lil red ) that came with buckets with the arm rest in between . Then you could use that style set up as well .

I just thought of something . If you put buckets in , Don't forget to reinforce the under side of your floor board were the bolts come threw as well .

Similar but not the same, I'm putting in the Warlock/Lil Red bucket style bench seats in my '72, they just bolted in like a regular bench seats, correct?

I just put a split electric bench in my 88 w150 and had to drill new holes for each side and used large fender washers with 1/2" bolts. Looks factory with the trim in. I did have to shim some areas about a half inch so I cut some black pipe and welded it to the floor. Just my 2 cents if it helps.

Yup , You got it . There bucket seats with kind of a buddy seat / arm rest . But you can bolt another style buck seat to that frame if you want to . That's the same set up that's in my Warlock and there's van high backs in there now . I'll be changing them to something else hopefully this winter while it's down as well as the other plans I have for it .

Fender washers are a good idea . Sometimes I even use a piece of flat stock under the floor where the bolts are going to come thru . 1/2" is a pretty healthy bolt for a seat . Normally I only use 3/8" .

Like a glove, really looks factory. The wife did not like the truck when I got it since the Yukon died, Tranny went out not worth the 15oo and ass pain to fix a 99. She loved the seat and wanted another one. Walla! Measured them and they fit!

HERE IS A PIC.

It look's like it belongs there ! Good job !

Oh there's nothing like some nice seats and a fresh rug in a truck . It give's it just a better feeling when your in it . That's one of my to-do things this winter to my truck .

I might just do rubber mats since it is a beater, Just started pricing carpet and.........I have some RV roofing that is black on the bottom that might work out.

Just as long as you can form it over your transmission tunnel then it should be good for what your looking for . Me I'll be going the rug rout . Luckily I've also been trained in upholstery , so I shouldn't have to hard a time with it .
