379 rear wheel hp, converts to 436hp at the motor.

This is a stock '09 VVT 5.7 with 100k miles. Only mods are the exhaust and a mild tune that netted 8 hp over stock, so there should be room for more with a more aggressive tune.

Ah, good old SheraDon. How did the boys treat you? They sure come up with some crazy things.

They were great. People started poking their heads in the room when they heard the pulls being made. Getting complimented on my work from guys that do it for a living felt pretty good.

Awesome! That should be a fun truck tomplay with!

My brother has a 408 stroker Dart that has run a 12.50 at the strip. Last night I ran him from a 30 mph roll so I could have a chance at traction. He started to pull away slowly at the top of 3rd and had a car on me until I missed 4th and got 2nd gear instead. Still getting used to this transmission. He probably would have had 4 cars on me in the quarter.

I plan on hitting the strip Oct 3rd for a test and tune session. I need to figure out how to get some traction. The plan is to buy the old transverse shock kit that Firm Feel is now reproducing, heavily clamp the front spring segment, remove the rear segment clamps and see how that works with my slicks. Last resort will be adding weight at the rear bumper.

Good job ! There's nothing like a hot rod truck !

Sounds like a very useful number of horsies under the hood.....nice work.
