Just curious as I half ass tried to measure mine while I was cleaning it out after my in tank pump install. Got about 28 gallons in there, spilling some as I filled it of course. That number just seems odd.

Here is a pic in case someone can ID it for me. Not the best pic- cant really tell the front section is necked down and angled... It mounts with two strap hangars in the middle and rear, the front has a rigid mount.

What year? Don't quote me on this, but I think there were 3 sizes between the trucks and Ramcharger - 20, 30 and 36 gallon. I'm pretty sure my 91 D150 (standard cab, short bed) has a 20 gallon tank.

What is the tank out of if you replaced the fuel pump? No fuel pumps were installed in tanks in 78.

This is the original tank for the truck. I used a Tanks Inc efi fuel pump module as a retrofit for my EFI Hemi.

In '77, the long beds had a 20 galllon, short beds 18, cab and chassie 24 in cab and the club cabs 24 gallon frame mounted. Depending upon the model, the auxillary tank was either 21 or 24 gallon.
