1951 Fargo for Sale

now that I sold the 69 GMC I am selling my 51 Fargo as well . I want to finish the inside of my 50 plymouth and find me a 67-8-9 Dart or 71-2 demon . or I just might trade if it,s the right car ?
well here is the Fargo ......
has 360 Interceptor 727 trans with 8 3/4 rear diff (suregrip). has a lokar shifter and under slung power brake system. Volare front clip, tilt steering, the frame has been boxed, has cop car wheels , 49 plymouth bumpers that need to be finished , front seat is in good shape. the truck is a driver but does need to be finished If you want to or just drive it the way it is like I have been ......12,000 OBO

I figured for sure that there would be a heard of guys all over this truck???? very rare truck only made in Canada thats why it,s a Fargo and not just a Dodge

The Fargo's are basically Dodge trucks with Plymouth engines.

Ford also sold their early 50's pu's in Canada with the name "Mercury". It was still a Ford,though.

That is a nice truck you have for sale and it seems to be reasonably priced. I am guessing the only reason you haven't gotten any action on it yet is because this is a new forum and there aren't many members posting here yet.

I guess this is true.... It just seems odd to me that at the time I was lokking for one of these trucks they were hard to get and now I can,t sell the one I have ????

Welcome to my world. Everything I have was worth a fortune when I bought it,and now seems to be worth nothing.

I've had at least a dozen people offer me less than $2500 for my steel 32 Ford 5-window coupe,and couldn't sell a running Harley custom Fat Bob that you could ride home for $3500. One guy even told me I should GIVE him the Harley because "At least I would ride it!,and you're just letting it sit!". I was selling it because I couldn't raise my leg up high enough to get on it anymore due to back injuries.

Saw a "Fargo" across the border in Old mexico. Didnt know they were a Canada only deal....??

If memory serves Fargo was Canada and overseas.

If you still have the Fargo, I might be interested in a trade if you are.

273 Commando engine
New Fuel Pump ( not installed yet )
Newer paint job
New tires and Beauty Rings ( installed but not shown )
New interior upholstery
All lights and most gauges work ( Have new fuel gauge and oil pressure gauge, but not installed yet )
It is silver- metallic in color
No rust
New U Joints
New battery
Freshly rebuilt 4 bbl. carburetor
New Trunk mat and rear seat barrier
New dual exhaust kit just installed from new headers
New glove-box
New rear view mirror ( not installed yet )
Spare tire and tire changing tools including Jack
New dash mat
New Floor mats
All chrome is intact
New rear Air Shocks and new front shocks
Custom 12 1/2" steering wheel ( still have original one )

Also have new oil pressure sending unit, New fuel pump )
The only thing not original is I have added headers. I have also replaced the trim around the windshield and rear window and upgraded it from the original 67 chrome/felt, to the 68 chrome, as the 67 chrome was no longer available.

I have invested over $18,000 in these restorations.
