I picked up a Haynes Manual for our years at Auto Zone just a few weeks ago. Not a bad manual at all. It helped me identify the parts I have missing for the cruise control that's installed, but not completely...therefore..it doesn't work. But, it's a good manual

Man, the only thing that ever followed me home was the ugly chick from a few houses down the street...nothing as cool as that truck, though.

And...did you check the ground wire for the headlamps? If it's not grounded right, or loose, it could cause some of the problems you're experiencing.

is your voltage regulator on the alternator or on the firewall?

Today me and the old boy Prospect, the Prospector, changed out the headlamps. Thought I had a short somewhere because both headlamps low beams went out at the same time, so I chased the wires, checked the ground, checked the fuse, checked the dimmer switch...and finally just bought new...
